The Palawan Group of Companies has partnered with JRS Express, one of the country’s leading courier and logistics providers, to roll out QR Ph payment services across JRS Express branches nationwide. The collaboration aims to make everyday financial transactions faster, more convenient, and more accessible for Filipinos.

Through this collaboration, customers can now use QR Ph at JRS Express branches to pay bills and complete other financial transactions while visiting a trusted courier partner. This initiative is strengthened by the Palawan Group’s nationwide network of more than 3,500 Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala branches, along with PalawanPay’s growing user base of over 23 million Filipinos. Together, these platforms help expand access to cashless payments, particularly in provincial areas and key logistics hubs.

Lisa Castro-Sabado shared how the Palawan Group and JRS Express are strengthening financial inclusion by integrating QR Ph services across JRS branches nationwide, advancing a  proudly Filipino initiative.

“This partnership marks a significant step in strengthening the Palawan Group’s commitment to financial inclusion. By integrating QR Ph into JRS Express branches, we are making everyday financial transactions more accessible, efficient, and convenient, especially for customers in provinces and logistics centers. What makes this alliance even more meaningful is that both the Palawan Group and JRS Express are 100% Filipino-owned. Tunay na gawang Pilipino, para sa serbisyong Pilipino,” (Proudly Filipino-made, built to serve Filipinos.) explained Palawan Group Chief Business Development Officer Lisa Castro-Sabado.

Both companies view the partnership as a strategic move to support the country’s transition to cashless payments while improving efficiency and customer convenience. By combining financial and logistics services in one location, the integration allows customers, particularly SMEs, online sellers, and frequent courier users, to manage transactions more efficiently. With over 60 years of industry experience, JRS Express remains a trusted logistics provider while evolving into an accessible touchpoint for digital financial services.

John Paul Claparols, Vice President of JRS Express, highlighted the long-term direction of the collaboration. “This agreement is an important milestone, but we see it as only the beginning. As the partnership grows, we look forward to exploring how JRS Express can also support Palawan Group’s logistics and distribution requirements. Our focus is not only on what we can accomplish today, but on what we can build together in the years ahead. This marks the start of a long-term collaboration between two Filipino-owned companies serving Filipinos nationwide.”

The contract signing marked the partnership between Palawan Group and JRS Express, combining financial and logistics services to help SMEs, online sellers, and courier users manage transactions more efficiently.

PalawanPay President and CEO Third Librea shared how the partnership supports PalawanPay’s mission to expand access to  digital financial services. “By enabling QR Ph payments at JRS Express branches, we are meeting customers where they already are and making transactions faster, easier, and more seamless. This partnership delivers meaningful value for SMEs, online sellers, and individuals who regularly use courier services. Integrating logistics and financial services enhances efficiency and strengthens readiness for a digital economy.”

This collaboration between the Palawan Group and JRS Express brings together scale, trust, and shared purpose to make cashless transactions more accessible to Filipinos nationwide. By combining Palawan Group’s extensive financial network and digital capabilities with JRS Express’ long-standing logistics presence, the collaboration simplifies everyday transactions and brings essential services closer to where people live, work, and do business.
